Learning by building for real businesses

Haspr was the studio I co-founded with four others. We built websites, mobile apps, identities, and interactive experiences. The work asked us to understand the business behind an interface, as well as its visual expression.

Our selected projects ranged from vehicle-service operations and school transport to accounting, local job discovery, and Khajuraho. Those are team projects. My personal role was co-founder and design engineer, working across design and frontend development.

The studio site was part of the work

I designed and built the studio’s own website. It gave our typography, interaction, and visual identity a working home rather than a static presentation. Next.js, Sass, GSAP, Three.js/WebGL, Canvas, and Lottie were part of that engineering vocabulary.

The challenge was to express the studio’s character while keeping the destination understandable. Motion supported the work and the identity; the website also needed to let a visitor explore projects and reach the team.

Credit and recognition

CSS Design Awards lists Haspr Agency Portfolio as a Special Kudos recipient on 4 October 2022 and names Abhay Rohit as a collaborator. CSS Winner records a Star on 12 October 2022. Orpetron’s 11 October 2022 listing records a Free Winner and credits development to Abhay Rohit.

These records support recognition of that particular website. They are not evidence that every Haspr client project won the same awards, and they do not describe the current portfolio as an award recipient.

One studio, different product problems

A vehicle-service product needed customer and operations views. School transport connected parents, drivers, and operators. Accounting centered on vouchers, ledgers, and reports. Local job discovery connected opportunities with people and businesses.

Khajuraho asked a different question: how could a place become a browser experience? The case study separates the original team project and my contribution from the illustrated film made for this portfolio.
